Art Direction | Website Design
Art director and website project lead for Cotogna, a neighborhood restaurant located in Jackson Square of San Francisco. Cotogna is an Italian restaurant known for housemade pastas, spit-roasted and grilled meats, and seafood roasted in the restaurant’s wood-burning oven.
The menu changes daily according to what’s growing at local farms, including their farm, Fresh Run Farm in Bolinas, CA.
The purpose of the redesign was to update the website with a more visually appealing look and neighborly feel.
Upgrading from a dated CMS website into a visual web development platform also allowed for easier and quicker edits for a busy Cotogna management team.
Cotogna is the casual and convivial counterpart to Chef Michael and Lindsay Tusk’s highly regarded and awarded three-Michelin star restaurant Quince. Not only is the restaurant next door to its fine dining sister, Cotogna’s philosophies, purveyors, and high-expectations for its level of service has close connection to her adjacent.
In the design and language of the website, it was important to convey its commitment to the community, seasonality, craft and hospitality.
An interactive menu (food, wine and cocktails), updated daily.
